How do you treat a cold sore to make it heal faster?
so i have a cold sore right now and its bugging me
i dont know how to treat it properly and is it okay to put petrolatum gel on it??
Go to your doctor and ask for Zovirax. When you start getting that tingling feeling, put it on right away. Instead of having the cold sore for 1-1/2 weeks, you'll only get it for a couple of days.
Your doctor can also give you some medication which will totally remove the cold sores. You won't get them, but you have to take the medication as soon as you get the tingling feeling. I can't remember what they are called.
