Do you think my cold sore will be gone in time?
I'm using Abreva AND I'm taking Valtrex! I caught the sore pretty early, but it still came in and it's so icky and nasty looking. )': I feel uglyy.
I'm hoping it goes away in time for the Monday after spring break ends, because I wanted to go back to school looking REALLY pretty..
Basically, do you think if I'm taking pills for it AND using Abreva, will my cold sore be gone in three days?
If it is an actual sore right now it will probably not be completely gone in 3 days. The fastest way to get rid of it: If it is still big (not dried out) get some campho phenique-it's in the store next to the chapstick and stuff. Use that untill the sore dries out, using chapstick sometimes so your lip doesn't end up with a huge red spot. Once the sore is dried out, then use Abreva AND Neosporin alternately to heal the scab/redness. For future reference-always keep a thing of Campho Phenique with you if you get cold sores often. As soon as you feel tingling or a bump on you lip, use it and it will prevent a sore from forming. I've been through this alot and trust me-this is what works.
