Herpes Cold Sores

Does getting cold sores / herpes on my mouth have anything to do with having my appendix out?

I just had my appendix out, actually about seven weeks ago and am wondering if it could be related to my recent large cold sore on my mouth. Also do you know how to get rid of them?

In answer to your question, i think a yes and a no is the answer!.....have i confused u yet? Sorry, i'll explain ! Although having your appendix out didn't actually cause you to get a cold sore, maybe having your body run down did.
I never suffered with cold sores before i was really sick with pneamonia, hence my body being run down by the illness and the strong medication i was on...cold sore!
I have since found, that every time my body is rundown by illness etc....i get a cold sore
You can go to your local pharmacy and pick up medication that will soothe the cold sore, and if applied as soon as you get one, will make it heal quicker, but generally, cold sores need to run their course
