Cold Sore Lip Swollen

my cat has a swollen bottom lip like a cold sore.?

i have had this cat for about 5 years and 1-2 times a year he gets a swollen bottom lip. it never seems to bother him and it usually goes away in about a week. my friend who is a vet says it sounds like an allergy but i am stilll worried. any other suggestions to what this could be.

I second the allergy. I would still take him to the vet if you are that worried about them. Perhaps they can prescribe some allergy medications for him.
