Cold Sore Face

I think my 8 month old has a cold sore on his face near his mouth.?

At first it started of as a pimple. Then it stared to grow and look like a sore as days went by. I though it was just a rash because he is teething but now i think it may be a cold sore. Help me! I may just have to take him to the doctor if it gets worse.
