Shorten Cold Sore Healing Time
Does Abreva really help shorten healing time? I have a nasty cold sore, but I'm wondering if I just wasted $15?
It say "clinical studies prove," yet it really doesn't cite a specific study. I bought it before it had really erupted, but it seems to just be getting bigger and bigger.
Yes, the studies do indicate that it shortens the time of the eruption. BUT, the amount of time shortening probably isn't worth the $15, as the amount of shortening tended to be only a matter of a couple of hours. However, the graph that was presented, with the X-axis being in minutes, made it LOOk like significant shortening really took place!!! You would do much better (and cheaper) by putting some ether on it, as soon as you feel it coming on. You can get ether in car-starter fluid at any service station.
