Reduce Cold Sore Duration
What do you do to reduce the pain and duration of cold sores?
One came up yesterday and I had to put this helmet on! It hurts so much and I have a big event to go to this weekend.
Ice or cold sore cream as soon as you feel the first tingle can prevent an outbreak showing in the first place. I always carry cold sore cream with me so I can apply at first tingle. Cheeper ones work just as well as the more expensive brands.
Once a blister has come up, more cold sore cream or metholated spirits helps dry it out quickly. Only dab metholated spirits on sore itself and try not to knock the scab off.
