Lysine Cold Sores And Pregnancy
Is L-Lysine safe to take during pregnancy?
L-Lysine is an essential amino acid that is not made by the body and must be obtained from diet. Amino acids support cell growth and function and form the basis for portein. It is especially important and is used for the health and integrity of the skin and lips.
It is good to prevent cold sores. It works excellent for that. I am prone to getting them and HATE them! Want to continue to take this, is it safe during pregnancy? (I will be asking my doctor on the 5th)
Seeing how Lysine is in some foods, I think it is in certain vegetables I do not see any reason of why you could not take the supplements. But like you said ask your doctor next week and see what he/she thinks.
