how long before the second herpes outbreak?
i think i might have it. i had a rash that looked like herpes from the pics on the internet. but nothing has got me for a year know. i am just thinking my time for the second outbreak might be near. i am very stressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Herpes is tricky, sometimes it will reoccur straight away, months or years down the track, or not it all. If you recognize that you did have symptoms it's important that you explain this to your doctor. He can give you antiviral medication you can take to suppress the virus if you are worried about passing it to your partner or if you have a big event coming up and you want to avoid an outbreak. The important thing is don't be stressed- there are good treatments so it doesn't have to ruin your life.

With so much talk from people about how disgusting it can be, what you did wrong, who you've slept with, or any of that crap, it's no wonder that people are embarrassed to talk about a sexually transmitted disease (STD).
Well, it's not like I am not ashamed that I have an STD, but there is nothing I can do about it. Sure I feel like crap knowing that this will affect me for the rest of my life, but I have to keep on living. So to those of you out there who are hating people with STDs, please stop.
As I have said, Yes, I have an STD. Unfortunately, a partner who did not tell me that she had this disease infected me. So, it was transmitted to me, and I did not know for some time. You would think that I would be able to know right away, or within days, but it actually took a few weeks. By that time it was too late.
So, you're probably wondering how did I know? Well, thanks to a fabulous instrument known as the internet, I was able to research. There are tons of pictures on the internet, and you guessed it, I found one that matched exactly what my...package...looked like. I mean it's not hard to tell that something is wrong, when you look down and your penis just doesn't look right!
The pictures of sexually transmitted diseases look quite gruesome, but I was well past the playing stupid or innocent stage. I was scared! So, like I said, I found a picture that matched me, and then I found out about the symptoms. And, BINGO, everything that was described was exactly what I was going through.
So, now that I knew what I had, I had to make the next step of seeing a medical professional. Of course I didn't want to do that. Think of how embarrassing it is to tell someone for the first time that you think you have an STD. However, I finally built of the courage and got checked out.
It was an easy process, and soon it was confirmed that I did indeed have the STD that I had thought. I was given a prescription to help cure it, and that is it. I am being extra careful too!
They say a picture can tell a thousand words, and in this case it did. Without pictures of sexually transmitted diseases, I might not have thought anything of what was the matter with me. However, it solidified the fact that something was wrong and I had to do something about it.
