First Cold Sore Symptoms
Stinking cold and pregnancy?
I am 29 weeks with my first pregnancy and have had a lousy cold for the past week. My midwife, doctor and pharmasist have all told me that except for paracetamol there is nothing they would recommend taking for it as very little has been tested and declared safe for pregnant women.
I have all the usual cold symptoms; sore throat, hacking cough, bunged up nose and am getting even less sleep than usual.
Anyone out there got any tips or been through similar. I am also worried that all the coughing and sneezing will hurt the baby or the baby will ' catch' my stinking cold; so any reassurance from the sisterhood on this good too!
I had the same problem with my 2nd pregnancy. I coughed so hard i cracked a rib. Just have to grin and bear it and do what the doctor says. You can take benadryl it will help with the bunged up nose, throat and sleep. Cough drops and vapo rub for the cough. Just hang in there, it will eventually go away. Good luck and God bless!
