First Cold Sore Ever
HELP! UGLY COLD SORE, & I HAVE A DATE!?
I have a nasty cold sore on the end of my lips, not only is it really sore, it's really ugly! yesterday, I thought it was just a spot of really chapped lips, but after appling chapstick all day, and no improvement, and the development of it, i realize its a cold sore!
I asked this guy i just recently started dating to hang out, before I remembered i had a cold sore! We just stared dating and i don't want to scare him away, with this nasty thing or have him think i have herpes or something,
How can I cover it, and cover it good?
this is my first cold sore ever, so can i still make out, if i have one? or does it spread it?

A 'cold sore' is an outbreak of oral herpes, which about two thirds of adults are infected with. It is highly infectious when you have a sore, so no kissing!
A cold sore lasts for 3-5 days usually, but it can still be infectious after it has healed. You can't risk kissing him, or performing oral sex, until at least a week after the sore has healed, because you could infect him with oral/genital herpes.
