Canker sore/cold sore??

Okay so whats the difference between these two? I know there isno cure for cold sores & that they are a strain of herpes but is ther a cure for canker sores? Are they a herpes virus strain too? If you get a canker sore once will you always get them? Just curious as I saw a canker sore question on here & it dawned on me I really have no idea what they are. Thanks

In a nutshell, canker sores are painful ulcers, or open sores, on the inner membranes of the mouth and cheek that can resemble pimples on the tongue. Canker sores are not considered to be contagious and are of uncertain origin.

Cold sores, on the other hand, are small red blisters that generally affect the mouth and facial areas, but usually appear on the lip and outer edge of the mouth. In contrast to canker sores, cold sores are extremely contagious and are most often caused by the Herpes Simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1). More importantly, when oral herpes lesions and/or its contents come into direct contact with the genital area through oral-genital sex, genital herpes most likely will develop.

Canker Cure: Does It Really Exist?

One of the problems with looking for a canker cure is that no one really knows what causes canker sores. That makes it very difficult to figure out how to cure oral canker sores. However, there are a number of possible aids on the market these days, most of them focusing on pain relief.

What Causes Canker Sores in the Mouth?

There are a number of theories as to what causes canker sores in the mouth. Some assume that this is the same as a cold sore, which is caused by the HPV, or a form of herpes virus. The truth is that while we don't know the exact cause of canker mouth sores, we DO know that they are not the same as cold sores.

Different people seem to have different triggers. Some suffer from canker sores when they have a lot of stress, others seem to get them when they eat or drink certain things. You'll need to examine your habits and see what your triggers are. Then, and only then, can you start looking at permanently getting rid of canker mouth sores.

What About a Canker Cure?

A canker cure doesn't yet exist in the world of medicine, but there are plenty of alternatives to look into. Herbal medicine is one area that many people find quite useful in finding canker relief.

While there is no real cure recognized by doctors, a combination of lifestyle changes, stress reduction and a very useful extract can help you change your life. If you suffer from recurring canker sores, you know just how wonderful it is when they finally go away. Speed the process up by using the right items. Treatment for canker sores in mouth can be drastically improved and even banished forever if you know the right formula.
