Cure Cold Sore Tongue
i have a cold sore on my tongue??
it wont go away. ive taken this vitamin(L-lysine) that ususally cures them in a day.. its been three days and it really hurts. i can hardly move my tongue.. eating is impossible.. please help.

this is actually a Canker Sore... an ulcer on your tongue... its not a cold sore because cold sores are related to the herpes virus and they typically show up on the outer area of the mouth and the lips... Canker Sores are painful, and may have a white/yellow center... they are brought on by stress, allergies, or eating/drinking acidic foods... and many other causes. It will go away and it does not spread to other people. It can take 3 weeks to heal.
You can help ease the pain by eating soft bland foods, drink cool liquids, gargle with salt water, avoid acidic foods/drinks, and try an over-the counter oral pain relief gel such as Anbesol. If more than 2 weeks has passed and these methods do not ease the pain, you can see your doctor or dentist than can give you a stronger pain relief that you swish in your mouth.
