Help with cold sores??
PLZ read this part. I will capitalize it. DO NOT, AND I MEAN DO NOT TELL ME ABOUT HOW IS IS HERPES AND ITS A VIRUS AND IT CAN'T BE TREATED, NONE OF THAT STUFF. I KNOW IT ALL!!! I need some fast treatment that works good but isn't gonna cost a fortune. anything to eat or anything to take t keep them away?? PLZ i need help with this big time.
My sister has a problem with this, too, and she has tried a lot of expensive treatments that didn't work very well. What she has had the most success with is zinc- vitamins and ointment. She takes one 50mg tablet every day, and two tablets a day when she has a break-out. She also puts zinc oxide ointment on the break-outs. She works in a pharmacy as a technician, and the pharmacist told her about this, so she tried it, and has gotten really good results. And both the vitamins and the ointment are under $5.00 each. She has also tried a cream called abreva, which she said worked okay at helping clear up a break-out, but is more expensive (about $15.00). I don't remember the name of the prescription pills that she was taking, but she said that the prescriptions didn't really help, and gave her a horribly upset stomach. I truly hope the zinc remedies help you, too.
