Cold Sores Herpes
Performing oral sex on parter with cold sores (herpes, HSV-1?)?
My girlfriend currently has cold sores on her mouth, which I am assuming to be oral HSV-1. As far as I know, I don't have any kind of herpes virus.
I know well enough to avoid her mouth and to not receive oral sex, but am wondering about the risks of contracting the virus while performing oral sex on her in addition to having vaginal sex with her (with a condom). I don't think it matters, but we have both only been with each other sexually.

hey i have HSV-1 genital herpes from receiving oral sex.
If you don't receive oral sex from her while she has a cold sore then you can not get genital herpes.
If you don't kiss her while she has a cold sore then you can not get oral herpes.
These are the only two ways you could get herpes from your lover. Just don't come into contact with her cold sores while she is experiecing an outbreak.
You can have vaginal intercourse with her without catching oral or genital herpes, again only if you dont come into contact with her cold sore what so ever!
