could it be measles even though she's had the MMR?
my daughter is 3yrs old and she has been immunised with MMR vaccine at 15months and her booster one before xmas. over the last 3-4days she has been unwell, cough cold sore throat etc. being sick (mainly because of coughing) not really running a temperature but yesterday i noticed she had a spot on her face and today she's got a rash on her hands, arms and back. the rash on her hands are itchy. i'm worried because to me it looks like measles but could she still get it even though she's upto date with her jabs?
she's already had chicken pox, and she had it quite bad. the rash she has now is not the same as chicken pox

A vaccine has been discovered for the incurable virus
The research scientist, at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, has been given the two-year federal grant for $400,125 by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
William P. Halford is the associate professor of medical microbiology, immunology and cell biology and the university and has previously been focusing on the Herpes Simplex 1 virus, responsible for causing recurrent cold sores and the rarer form of herpes, ocular herpes.
He previously received a federal grant for his research into Herpes Simplex 1.
Genital Herpes is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections worldwide and causes misery for millions of people. Though it is not life-threatening, the stigma of the infection makes many feel extremely uncomfortable about developing relationships with new partners. Indeed, the stigma attached to the infection has seen dating websites spring up solely designed for use by those who are infected, allowing them to find partners without the fear that they could infect someone.
It can lie dormant for months or even years so carriers can be unaware they are infected. This means that many are unaware they need a herpes test until they experience the first break-out. Those who already infected can obtain herpes treatment from their doctor. Herpes treatment usually involves medication which lessens the symptoms and cuts down their duration.
With 1 billion people worldwide infected, it is believed that 1 in 10 young people catch the virus. William P. Halford is hopeful that his vaccine can be given to children, thereby protecting them against contracting herpes when they become sexually active.
