Cold sores on lips?
Three days ago, I noticed i had 2 cold sores. I don't know where it came from. I don't think it came from kissing my girlfriend because she doesn't have any. But the next day, I noticed my lips were really chapped and i had 2 more cold sores(making 3 on my lips and 1 on my tongue). I asked my friend about it and she said to use Carmex, so I started using it.
How much carmex do i apply? How often?
Is cold sores on the lips really herpes?
Are there any other treatments besides lip balms?
Cold sores like that is herpes. I have a relative that gets recurring ones all of the time. I often worried when she went to kiss my kids when they were little. I know she always takes L-Lysine vitamins to help clear them up. Put enough Carmex on to moisten them. There is also a product called Herpecin.

Treatment of Bell's Palsy
Some doctors try to surgically relieve pressure on the nerve by removing part of the bone. This is an unproven procedure that is considered controversial and is no longer commonly performed. If the eyelid will not close, other surgeries around the eye may be considered.
Most patients who do not recover are distressed by their symptoms. They may need help dealing with the emotional issues associated with the condition.
