What stage of having a cold sore is considered the most contagious. I had one that was healing my skin wasn't open but i had a dark area on the corner of my lower lip fourteen days after the initial sore. Was i still contagious at that time?
You are most contagious when the blister is there. I think after 14 days you would have been ok.
After being exposed it can take up to 20 days to see a cold sore.
