I have had a cold for awhile now and its worsened?
I got the Swine Flu vaccine 5 days ago, which was a Tuesday. I had went to the doctor that day due to a persisting cold (stuffy nose for about 2 weeks, sore throat and headaches.) He assured me that it was just a cold and therefore he could vaccinate me because of my asthma. Well two days ago, which was a Friday, I got a right swollen neck gland. It wasn't bad so I didn't give it much thought. Yesterday, I realized I could see it protruding from my neck and it hurt to bend my neck to the right. I had a temperature of 101, severe dizziness, naseua, and the still swollen right neck gland. I took some ibuprofen and my temperature went down but now is back to 101. I am going to the doctors today but am wondering, could this be swine flu, just a cold or vaccine side effects? I read in the vaccine side effects that swollen glands are very uncommon. Any ideas? I have to wait 4 1/2 hours before the doctor so I am really curious.
Im having the same symtoms...prolly not as swollen though.
It could be strep throat, or just a regular seasonal flu, but if you find out it is just a cold or the flu be really careful about not getting dehydrated i tend to do this when im sick. Everybody tells you to drink plenty of water but if you keep getting sick and throwing it up you can very quickly become severly dehydrated...and you will have to go to the hospital. Hopefully its just a cold get well soon.
