Cold Sore Secondary Infection
is this mono or another infection on top of mono?
the reason i ask is because i have mono, my sore throat and tonsils finally went down.. but a few days ago i noticed my mucus turned a brownish color.. i was taking augmentin during this time cause i didnt know i had mono yet.. so it can't be bacterial infection.. but anyway, i'm not taking augmentin anymore, and my mono symptoms have gone away for the most part, (maybe fatigue is a little) but now my sinuses are BURNING like i'm getting a cold? is this another infection? or still mono?
does mono knock down your immune system making you more likely to get a secondary infection while you have it?
i've only known i had mono for about 2 or 3 weeks.. its been pretty quick with symptoms not lasting very long.. need some advice and help. thanks.
Mono is a VIRAL infection. not bacterial. This might be a secondary infection.
