Cold Sore Remedies Fast
Does anyone know any home remedies to get rid of cold sores and fast!!!?
Im going to a wedding with my boyfriend of 3 weeks this weekend, and Im meeting his whole family and I don't want their first impression of me to be...hey that was the girl with the herpe on her lip. 
Imaka (above) is right, unfortunately you just have to let them run their course. But as far as home remedies, a Lysine supplement will help the virus from multiplying, and taking acidophilus will help your immune system fight the virus as well.
One thing that works really well is the liquid form of Super Lysine+. You can take them both orally and apply the drops on your lip (use a Q-tip!), and both help the cold sores heal faster.
Also, the best over-the-counter ointment that you could put on it is Carmex. I know they have Abreva and Campho-Phenique, but I've tried all of these and I was surprised to find that Carmex really does work the quickest.
The last time I had a really bad cold sore I went to a health food store and asked a lady that worked there about them. She printed off this huge list of supplements that will help heal and prevent cold sores. I'm sorry I don't have the list with me or else I'd write everything down for you, but I'm sure if you go to a store and do the same they could help!
