Cold Sore Prescription Medication
Might not be step throat, than what?
Last week I ended up getting really ill. Symptoms: Headaches, throat closing in on me, swelling in there, puss lines all through out the back of the throat. I lived off of dayquil, and got worse. Finally I took amoxicillian and in the first 24 hours I was feeling great. I continued the medication for 72+ hours and on this third day which was yesterday I noticed a small puss bubble under my tongue, swelling this time on the tongue (like cold sores), my throat swelled up again, now instead of puss lines, kind of like white circles formed in the back of throat. I mixed hydrog. prox with half water, still remaining to take prescription and I'm getting headaches, very warm, throat hurting, and I seem to be relapsing. Obviously I am going to the doctors by tomorrow. Can anyone help me understand what else this could be. I also have had a past history of mono (no swelling of lyphnods right now), and contracted herpes virus in Jan of this year. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks
If nio culture was done you may not have had a strep throat, the majority are viruses. You may have a Leptothix infection in your tonsils with a virus pharyngitis.
