should my friend get more test?
my friend today found out she had gential herpies , the doctor wanted her to have more test for hiv and hep virus , I advised her not to becouse she knows where she got it from her boyfriend who had a cold sore and they had oral sex , I know the guy well he has not been with anybody for 8 years and she has not been with anybody for 5 years , this was given by a lack of education on the spread of the virus , but the good news is he is gowing to marry her
Sorry to say that if she found out today that she had genital herpes then she had it for a long long time. You can NOT get genital herpes from a cold sore, wrong kind of virus. She got it from someone else and could have pass it on to her boyfriend. She needs to go back to the doctor and get more tests done and get educated on genital herpes.
