Cold Sore Newborn
my eight month daughter has a cold, what are some good remedies besides giving her tylonel?
I have been nursing my daughter since she was a newborn and she still wont eat solids. She got a cold caught from another baby and she has a runny nose. I dont like giving her tylonel. Is there any other home remedies that you would recommend to give a baby she is only eight months and she wont take solids yet. I think she has a sore throat too but not sure (I do). shes not fussy but I can tell that its bothering her.
A nice warm steamy bath with Johnsons Vapor Bath helps.
Also, keep socks on her little feet. (Thats the main reason babies get runny noses, believe it or not.)
Sleep helps a lot also. The more she can rest, the quicker the cold will go away. Keep her head propped up keeping her from being unable to breathe through her nose while she sleeps, and basically just wait it out.
