I have swollen lymph nodes, I'm tired and sneezing. EBV attack, stress or a virus coming on?

I have been changing jobs, working 2 while studying for college. Just went away for the weekend and stayed up late and drove 100 miles each way plus shopping. I'm exhausted and came home and crashed. i feel like I have a bad cold and my lymph nodes in my throat and axillary areas are swollen & sore. I haven't had an EBV attack in awhile and think Maybe it's here again. Have to be at work in 2 hours and am So tired !
Any ideas? Thanks for Any input!

Sounds like you need some rest. I say you should call in sick if you are able to and just do NOTHING but rest all day long.

Home Remedies For Sore Throat And Sore Throat Pain Relief

The throat cancer affects the mouth, the oral cavity or the pharynx, the upper part of the throat.

The oral cavity and the pharynx have many functions in the human body like breathing, talking among other thing.

Causes of Throat

Bacterial infection: Strep throat is the most common bacterial infection.

It is mainly caused by streptococcal bacteria. Strep throat can lead to rheumatic fever which can activate heart valve problems or irritation of the kidney.

Other bacteria can cause sore throats - e.g. gonorrhoea is an example of a sexually transmitted infection.

Tonsillitis: It is an inflammation of the tonsils. Chronic tonsillitis occurs when there is so much damage to the tonsils.

Symptoms of Throat

1.    Throat pain

2.    Difficulty swallowing

3.    Red and swollen tonsils, sometimes with white patches or streaks of pus

4.    Tiny red spots on the soft or hard palate — the area at the back of the roof of the mouth

5.    Swollen, tender lymph glands (nodes) in your neck

6.    Fever

7.    Headache

8.    Rash

9.    Stomachache and sometimes vomiting, especially in younger children

Treatment of Throat

•    Gargle with warm salt water to help reduce swelling and relieve discomfort:

•    Gargle at least once each hour with 1tsp (5g) of salt dissolved in 8fl oz of warm water.

•    If you have postnasal drip, gargle often to prevent more throat irritation.

•    Prevent dehydration. Fluids may help thin secretions and soothe an irritated throat. Hot fluids, such as tea or soup, may help decrease throat irritation.

•    Use a vaporizer or humidifier in your bedroom.

•    Warm or cool mist may help you feel more comfortable by soothing the swollen air passages. It may also relieve hoarseness. However, don't let your room become uncomfortably cold or very damp.

•    Use a shallow pan of water to provide moisture in the air through evaporation if you don't have a humidifier. Place the pan in a safe site where no one will trip on it or fall into it.

Home Remedies for Sore Throat

1.    Use of mango bark is very beneficial in sore throat. Make a gargle by mixing 10 ml of the fluidextract with 125 ml of water. This is one of the effective and simple home remedies for sore throat.

.    Sore throat treatment - An infusion of the seeds mixed with common salt can be used as a gargle in acute condition.

3.    The leaves of the holy aromatic plant have also been establish beneficial in the treatment of sore throat.

The water boiled with basil leaves should be taken as a drink or can also be used as a gargle. This is also effective natural remedy for sore throat.

4.    A hot Epsom salt bath will be highly beneficial.

5.    Take 4 cloves of garlic, 1 tbsp. Honey, 1/8 tsp. cayenne and Mix them together, take a spoonful when needed and chew it up well before swallowing as this provides relief and is good natural remedy for sore throat.

6.    The throat gargled several times with warm water mixed with a little salt also provide relief from sore throat. This is one of the simplest sore throat cures.

7.    Make a tea by adding 1 or 2 teaspoons of dried chamomile blossoms to a pint of boiling water and drink a cup after every few hours. This is a good home remedy for sore throat.

8.    Diet for sore throat - Mix 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, a pinch of cayenne pepper, extracted juice of 1/4 a lemon, and 1 teaspoon of honey. Add to this 1 cup of hot water and stir well. Drink this up to 4 cups a day for sore throat relief. This is one of the effective home remedies for sore throat.
