Cold Sore Homeopathic Remedies

Do I have the flu - i'm pregnant and paranoid!?
I had a little bit of a sore throat on the right side which went away overnight but now I have a bit of jaw pain and I noticed when I bend over I can feel sinus pressure and pressure in the right jaw area. Could this be a cold or flu slowly progressing. What homeopathic remedies are there to prevent these symptoms from progressing? I've been taking lots of vitamin C and had a tea of lemon, ginger, garlic and honey that seemed to make the sore throat subside.
Also, what is the average amount of time it takes for flu/swine flu symptoms to appear?
to me so far it sounds maybe like the beginning of a cold which is annoying but nothing to worry about...just keep taking your vitamins and get lots of rest...if you are worried just call your doctor...although pregnant women are in the high risk group for the swine flu i don't think you have much to worry about, unless your doctor has told you otherwise....the swine flu is not much different from the seasonal flu all symptoms and treatment are the same so i think you should be no more worried about the swine flu than the regular flu...anyways just keep doing what you are doing and if you feel any alarming changes in your symptoms call your doctor...another thing that helps a sore throat is gargling warm salt water....
please that shot is not safe don't get it people are dieing from the side effects!you don't want to risk you unborn child!!!

Common Cold Remedies for Little Money
Some home remedies are based on medicinal knowledge. Some home remedies like brandy are nothing more then a placebo. The Alcohol does nothing to improve the patients health, but the more they drink the more they get drunk and feel better, but usually once the effects of the alcohol wear off the symptoms feel much worse. Here are some remedies that actually work, and are all natural.
Lemmon:
My mom always said that Tea with lemon was the best thing for a cold, and many experts now agree with her. The vitamin C in the lemon helps strengthen the body's immune system. They also say that it should be in warm water which is why they put it in tea.
Garlic:
Back in the day my mom would give my brother and I garlic soup. The soup has antiseptic properties, the oil in the soup help open the repertory system and it helps reduce fever in the body, and by adding some onion juice to the soup you can help flush unwanted toxins from the body, but be prepared because you will sweat them out.
Reduce a Fever:
It is not uncommon for someone with a cold to have a fever. A good way to reduce the fever is with Ginger. When cut up and boiled in water ginger has been found to lower a fever in a matter of hours. A less bitter way is to put a small piece of ginger into a glass then pour boiling water in the glass, after letting it sit for 2 or 3 minutes put a tea bag in the glass and add some sugar. This method is less effective but tastes much better.
Diet:
Many moms go by the old adage feed a fever starve a cold, and this is still good advice today. When the patient has a fever it is best to just give them water, fruit and vegetable juices mixed with some water. A fever can make the body sweat and burn off much energy and without plenty of fluids your body will start to dehydrate, which can prolong and worsen the problem.
Tamarind and Pepper:
A great way to relieve a stuffed up nose is Tamarind and Pepper soup.
The soup is made by adding 50 mg or Tamarind into a pot with 1 cup of water. Bring it to a boil then add one teaspoon of hot ghee and half a teaspoon of black pepper. You should have 1 cup of this soup 3 times a day. After drinking you will fell your nose start to run and your eyes will water, but within minutes your sinuses will be cleared out.
Go for the Source:
All of the remedies so far have been ways to relieve the effects of the cold, but this remedy is aimed at curing the entire cold. The Bitter Gourd Root is made into a past and mixed with homey. For every 1 teaspoon of Bitter Gourd Root add 1 teaspoon of honey. Take a tablespoon of the mixture every night for 30 days to rid yourself of the cold germs and to help rebuild your immune system.
Turmeric:
Turmeric is a cure all. It not only relieves the symptoms of the cold like runny nose and sore throat, it also helps kill the cold germs and strengthen the immune system all at once. The turmeric is bought as a powder. Add half a teaspoon is added to a cup of milk them boiled. The steam should be inhaled while it is boiling then poured into a glass, allowed to cool slightly then drink twice a day. Your nose will start to run much more then before but in a day you will feel much better.
These are just a small example of all the home remedies that are out there. I have personally tried several of these methods, and can vouch for their effectiveness.
