Cold Sore Below Nose
Cold/flu or Allergies?
Starting Saturday (the 17 of oct) I got this horrible sore throat. It just won't leave. In addition to that, I have a very VERY mild cough (possibly just to relieve the congestion) and feel a bit congested. I also don't feel very good as a whole.
Another thing is lately my eyes/nose have been fairly itchy but don't get really red or bloodshot.
Tea helps the sore throat temporarily. Cough drops help it more long term. Tylenol relieves a headache that I may have from time to time.
Last night my temperature was 97.3 degrees--below normal. So I don't have a fever (unless I have one now).
Do you think this is more of an allergy issue or possibly a cold (or flu--not very many flu symptoms, but you never know).
I haven't been known to have any type of chronic seasonal allergies but was prescribed Claritin about 5-6 years ago but once it was gone I stopped taking it...later tonight I'm going to try claritin and see if it helps...
What do you think?
It's hard to say. Because of your eyes and nose being itchy it may be allergies.
If Claritin doesn't help you probably just have a bit of a cold. Rest up and get better
