Cold Sore At Home Treatment

Why do I always get sick?
I have been getting sick since last Feb. I had back to back strep throat. As soon as I got off the antibiotics for the first strep throat 2 days later I got strep again. The doctors decided to get my tonsils taken out which took place in March. 3 weeks after my tonsils were removed I got a post op. infection. Then in May I got diagnosis with Mono. During the summer I would always get sore throats and fever's. In Oct. I got a real bad cold and then 3 days later when I went back to school as soon as I walked into the door of the school I got really tight and I ended up going home and was taking to the hospital my mom worked at. I got placed on continuous nebulizer treatments for 4 days. When I returned home I was ok at first and now the real bad colds are kicking up again. Doctors don't know what is wrong with me. I keep missing school and I am getting in trouble for that. PLEASE HELP ME!
You can't get in trouble for missing school due to medical illness. School is important, but your health is more important.
Have you had any allergy testing done? Have the doctors checked your immune system? It seems strange that you are suffering so many throat illnesses - have you seen an ENT (ear, nose, throat) specialist?
I used to get a lot of strep infections (I also had mono) when I was a young teen. I must have just grown out of it, but I would suggest you start with the things that are in your control such as diet, excercise and sleep patterns. Your body will run down quickly if you aren't eating properly and getting enough sleep. You don't state your age, but if you're a young teen you need to be getting anywhere from 8-11 hours of sleep at night. Other than in the first year, there is no greater growth than during puberty, and that can take a lot out of your body.
Good luck!
