Cold Sore Apply Ice

Daughter feels very poorly today - she did not go out she felt that bad so not hangover!?
She's 16 1/2 years old and was in bad by 9pm last night. She is crying, had REALLY bad headache, her body aches especially her lumber area on her back. Her hands were like blocks of ice last night too. She has a fever now, she feels sick but has not been sick. Her throat is very sore and she when she went across to bathroom the light on white tiles made her "eyes go all fuzzy" Could it be meningitis ? We have had the head cold all over Christmas but this is something else. I've looked for a rash but can see only surface spots close to tops of arms but these are not purple as the adverts say although they do stay when the glass test is applied across them. My instintcs say this is more than a bad cold.
She is not a whiner, is usually up and about she rarely stays in bed so this alone proves she is not right. She still managed to be up when we all just had this head cold last week. HELP
I don't want to call Doctor out and find it is just the flu
If there is the slightest suspicion of meningitis take immediate action to get medical attention. Every minute counts.
No doctor worth their salt would object to being called out to a case of meningitis and they would be even happier if it turned out to be something less serious.
Phone your local casualty/emergency room, tell them what you suspect and that you are bringing her in. If you do not have transport, phone 999 (in UK) for an ambulance. The paramedics will do an initial assessment and take the appropriate action.
You sound like a responsible parent and I'm sure that you don't make unnecessary calls to the emergency services. If this turns out to be a false alarm, no one will blame you for taking precautions.
