Cold Sore Aloe

If I have a sinus infection, swollen glands, and was prescribed Z-pak, nasal spray, and Claritin d 24?
I went to the doc wed. and this was my diagnoses, and also I have fluid on my eardrums, But now I have a severe runny nose, my ears are killing me, pain, pressure my head feels like a football! The doc told me not to take any more Tylenol Daytime Severe cold medicine, so what would I be able to take for all this other that is taking over? My nose is so sore from blowing and wiping it, puffs plus with aloe even hurts! The prescriptions I'm sure have busted all this loose, but would it hurt to take a cold pill or nyquil to help me to sleep? I cant even do that, I turn over then the mess runs from one side of my head to the other, I need some suggestions!
I'd hesitate to have Nyquil with the Claritin. They both contain antihistamines and you wouldn't want to overdose.
Can you get something that's *only* a decongestant, like Sudafed? That would help with the congestion, at least.
A dab of Vaseline on the sore part of your nose might help a little too.
Can you sleep propped up on a lot of pillows, like in a chair or on a couch, where you'd be less likely to turn over?
